Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We are very sorry to lose Cary; he was such a “huge plank” in our church. He taught many of us the correct way to do things. It has been good to get to know Bryan, Price, and Beth. God be with you as you adjust to his death.

  2. It was very sad today to hear of Carey’s death. I also am very grateful for many cherished memories of him. Carey was a great colleague and friend. His service to the Navy and Department of Defense was outstanding in sonar and other acoustics areas, and his career was very accomplished in these fields. Carey and his wife were much loved and are greatly missed. My condolences to all family members; Carey loved you very much and spoke of you often. At this time of sadness and in years ahead, may you have many fine memories of your great relative and friend.

  3. God bless each of you, Beth, Price and Brian. We will all miss Carey and pray for your peace and comfort. Joyce Hall

  4. Brian, Price, and Beth; We pray that loving memories will provide you comfort in the days to come. Your father will always be thought of with great love and affection for all he did for McLean Baptist Church. Generations to come will know what a special man he was to all of us. My parents and I visited your Dad last month in the hosptial. He shared special memories of the times you all spent at your cabin in West Virginia. We laughed and reminised for a long while. He had so many loving things to say about each of you and of course, Fan. He loved his family, he loved his friends, he loved the church, he loved his country, and he loved God. We are all so very blessed to have had him in our lives. May God’s love, grace and mercy provide you comfort at this time. Love, Karen and John Propheter

  5. In every aspect of his life, Carey Smith followed in Jesus’ footsteps. It is a comfort to know that now he walks with Jesus. A beautiful man, a beautiful life, an example for all. We are both honored and humbled to call him beloved friend. Richard & Kitty Cox

  6. I worked for Carey from 15 Sept 1969 until Sept 19831and those were wonderful years in my career. Carey and Fan were very special people in my life, and I will miss them very much. I just saw the notice today – I had been on vacation.
