Carla Molis Davison

CARLA MOLIS DAVISON
(September 11, 1963-March 3, 2014)
Carla Molis "Poopie" Davison joined her mother and father in heaven on March 3, 2014. She died at home from complications related to Alzheimer's.
Born with Down Syndrome on September 11, 1963, Poopie spent the first 35 years of her life in Washington, DC where her parents, Frederic and Jean Davison, set a loving and encouraging tone that would carry her through life. She attended the St John's Child Development Center where she defied the odds and learned to read, and sang with the Girls Madrigal. For many years she actively participated in the Special Olympics running track. When not in school, Poopie was an inseparable companion to her devoted parents, joining them on cruises to the Caribbean and travels around the world. She loved parties, dressing up and was a most gracious host.
Following the passing of her parents, Poopie moved to Fairfax, Virginia where she spent the last 15 years of her life lovingly cared for by her sister- and best friend- Jean Eubanks. With Jean as her constant companion, Poopie continued her life of celebration which included annual apple pickings with beloved sister Andrea, camping trips with nephew and niece, Musa and Barbara Eubanks, and trips to the beach with big sister Dayle. For most of the years in Fairfax, her days were filled at the Villa Maria Centre for Mentally Retarded Adults where she made new friends and mastered the art of latch-hooking producing many a pillow cover cherished by family members.
In her fifty years, Poopie lived large. She learned to fish and play cards and was a very active parishioner of the St John Neumann Church. She had a wicked sense of humor and it's the rare picture that doesn't find her laughing heartily. She loved to dance and to sing with all her might. But, the way to her heart was through the color pink or anything to do with Michael Jackson.
Alzheimer's took her from us on March 3, 2014, but heaven welcomed an angel.
She is survived by her three sisters, four nephews, two nieces, four grand nephews and countless friends whom she loved and who loved her dearly in return.
A viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00am on Friday, March 14, 2014 at St John Neumann Church located at 11900 Lawyers Road, Reston, Virginia 20191. The funeral mass will immediately follow. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

Jean, I’m so very sorry for your loss. You are God’s true angel and you will have rewards in our time of passing that will astound you for your unselfish dedication and unconditional love for your sister. God placed a “gold card” in your name with St Peter! You stand in no line when you get to heaven you are his “Angel” I’m sorry I can’t be with you to hold your hand and hug you. I’m forever traveling in my job with U.S. Customs & Border Protection but my love is always with you. Sam
Dear Dayle, Sudy and Jean Marie, Thinking of you all. Hoping your treasured memories bring you comfort now and forever. Sending arm loads of Love. Take special care. Sam and Mamie’s girls
I am so sorry that Carla is gone. When I was at Howard in the late 70′ early 80’s I would come by the house to visit and eat diner. Carla was always smiling and friendly. We all share the same Great Grand Father (Brown). With loving sympathy, Lawrence
Dear family,
Forgive me for I am just learning of Cala’s passing. While visiting Arlington Cemetery this morning for my mother, Jenny’s birthday, I noticed a beautiful headstone and it was for your parents, and then I saw Carla’s name. It was so close to mom’s and it was beautiful.
I had just wondered how she was only last month. Too much time and many events go by before we think of one another.
God bless her, and I will never forget her and how she was loved by all.
God bless all of you, always,
Carmen Stewart Jessup
