Carlotta T. Atkisson, age 91, of Vienna, VA died peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 28, 2015 with her family by her side. Carlotta lived a joyful life. Loving wife of 68 years to George B. Atkisson; devoted mother of Dianne Anglim (Tom), Neal and Jeffery. She is also survived by sister Maurine Gerig; six grandchildren, Jennifer Anglim, Julie Wagner (Donald), Brian Anglim, Kathryn Atkisson, and Karly Inabinett (Joe); and four great-grandchildren, Donald, Thomas, George, and Carlotta Wagner. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hauver and Vera Tuttle; son, William Atkisson; grandson, David Atkisson; and daughter-in-law, Kathy Atkisson. Relatives and friends are invited to Carlotta's Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Wednesday, July 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Antioch Christian Church, 1860 Beulah Rd., Vienna, VA 22182 on Thursday, July 2 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Andrew Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090

  3. Aunt Carlotta was so wonderful. I still remember visiting and staying with her and Uncle George in VA. To this day it’s still one of my favorite vacations ever, mostly due to how generous Carlotta was.

  6. She was such a wonderful & always happy person. I don’t remember a time that she wasn’t smiling. She will be missed terribly by many. Thinking of you all and sending our love & hugs.

  7. Our families were always close in the Six Corners area. Carlotta & George hosted us when Son Rick had an academy appt….all prior to Marcia marrying Ron. Lovely Lady.

  16. Carlotta was a beautiful and loving person, and Aunt, who was a wonderful influence in my childhood and beyond. A kind and gentle person who knew how to perceive and use the humor in things. Although I had not seen her in a while, she was and will remain in my heart always! Heartfelt condolences to Uncle George, Dianne, Neal, and Jeff.

  17. Mrs. Atkisson always has a special place in my heart. Very fond memories of her and her kindness. I still have and love the chaise lounge that she recovered for me for a wedding present almost 40 years ago! I feel blessed to have known such a wonderful woman.
