I met Carol Phillips in the Woman’s Club of McLean and was impressed by her vitality, her interest in and concern for other people, and her forthright openness about her illness. Among other things we talked about was our positive feelings toward the government agency from which we had both retired. I wish I had had the chance to know Carol better. I’m sure she is greatly mourned.
