Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ceil’s family. I had the honor of meeting Ceil in Washington DC at a friend’s graduation lunch. A wonderful lady that will be missed.
God bless Ceil. I knew her while working for Olympic Airways in NYC. Pat Ward introduced us. Pretty and witty lady.
I knew her as Ceil. Early in our friendship, I often misspelled her name. Ciel, I would write in an email. Finally, she insited I spell her name correctly – remember the rule, she asked? i before e except after c! She taught me many things, not just spelling. Her sisters call her Cecelia. Cecelia is a better name as it takes longer to say and keeps her in my thoughts just a bit longer. And it’s beautiful.Cecelia. Like a prayer. Memories…lunches. many lovely lunches and dinners. She was an amazing cook. I learned to depend on her when I was planning a dinner party. Passion – She was passionate about loving people- often traslated through her volunteer work but with me, through listening. She cared about everyone. We could talk on the phone for an hour and I’d be sorry when the chat was finished. Her wisdom and love are woven in my heart like a detailed tapestry. I loved her and will miss her very much.
Beautiful, crazy excitable Ceil. I will miss your humor, your confidence, your bone dry honesty and your wisdom. Rest now-no more suffering. Thanks for all of your prayers!!! Grab my mom and have a good laugh I will miss you!!!!! Love always Terri
My condolences to Ceil’s family. I had the great pleasure to work with Ceil during my time at United Airlines. A wonderful lady who will be missed!
Eternal rest grant unto Cecelia o Lord, and let your perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul rest in peace. Amen I shall miss you.
I have been truly blessed by God to have had you in my life Aunt Cecelia. Your strength, love, and kindness have been a true inspiration. You have been my strength through so much in my life and I thank you for giving me the ability to look at life with such appreciation. I will miss all our chats and telling you all the stories about the girls as well as sharing all our thoughts on so many things together. One of our most beautiful conversations was about gratitude to God. I will always be grateful to have been blessed with my Aunt Cecelia and know you will watch over our family from above. I miss you and love you more than words can say. Rest in Peace Dear Aunt.
I am so sorry to hear of Ceil passing. she was a wonderful lady and helped me a great deal when I was working for NWA
To her beloved Sisters, Kit and I share your loss and will miss her so much. Our deepest condolences and continued prayers for her and for you all. During our long, close friendship we shared many thoughts, opinions, sadness and laughter. Ceil was always ready and happy to help. God bless you and keep you in His loving care, Ceil. Love from Kit and Bessie
My thoughts and prayers are with all the family. I served with Cecelia as an Ignatian Volunteer and she was a joy to be with at our city-group meetings. She did the works of mercy in her lifetime and I am sure she now is experiencing the the fullness of life with God. Our family has been in Atlanta so unable to be with all the family at St. Mark. Requiescat in pace.
My dearest Aunt we were so lucky to have been able to have you as part of our lives. We are better people because of you. The Ryan family will miss you terribly. May you rest in peace forever.
Having known Ceil for the past 23 years, I always admired her ability to tell it like it is. Ceil was a good friend and colleague, doing much charitable work after her retirement. We will all miss her. May her soul rest in peace.
Dear Aunt Cecelia, an honorable person of such strength of mind and heart, we will remember you always.
“A life well-lived cannot be diminished by death. The beauty, guidance, and inspiration that it gave us will shine on as brightly as ever.” (author unknown) While at Singapore Airlines, our annual Chinese New Year Banquet for our constituents, would be the ‘talk of the town!’ – all thanks to Ceil’s impeccable talent to pull it off. A fond farewell to a GREAT Lady! I will miss you, my dear friend.
My sincere sympathies to Ceil’s family. I will miss Ceil, a dear friend with a wonderful honestly, integrity and sense of mirth. She always made me laugh…now, who will pray for “M” as Ceil always did? Who will I call at 5am (LAX time) to have my coffee with? We often spoke of how much we value our families…I join you in the loss of a special person in our lives. JP friend of almost 40 years
Dear Peggy Ann, Eileen and Michele, My deepest sympathy and prayers are with you. I met Ceil 42 years ago through another good friend, Pat Garrity (nee Ward). We shared many happy and sad moments. When Alexander went to CUA, we saw each other more often. Ceil was so bright and witty. We laughed at the past, talked about the present, and wondered what the future held. Through her faith, Ceil accepted her illness with remarkable dignity. She was always more concerned about you and your life and offered her help. Ceil put all her energy into her values -her faith, her family, her friends, all of which she loved so much. Thank you Ceil for your love, your wisdom, your kindness, your support and your smarts. You left us way too soon but we are lucky to have had you in our lives. I will miss you so much. You will be in my prayers. Please remember me and Alexander. Rest in peace dear friend. Love, Joellen Schumacher Madison, NJ
Dear Eileen and Family, We were so very sorry to hear of your sister, Cecilia’s passing into the loving arms of Jesus Christ. Please accept our sincere sympathy at this difficult time. With love and complete understanding, Mary Ann and Bob
I was deeply saddened by the news of Cecelia passing. My heart felt condolences your family
To my Godmother Aunt Ceil I will miss you dearly and I am happy to know you are in a place where all your pain is no longer. I am sorry I wasn’t always in contact with you but you will be in my heart and mind. Love Mike and family
Aunt Ceil, I will cherish every moment we spent together, the last couple of years you were a second mom to me. I will especially miss our talks. I respected your advice and honesty. Aunt Ceil you were one strong woman which I admired deeply. You will be greatly missed by the Primiano family. Love you so much, Eileen
To the Sullivan Family. My sincere condolences — after Ceil left Singapore Airlines, we lost touch. But for many years, nothing brightened my day more than speaking to Ceil. She was always upbeat, and so capable, dedicated and professional. She will be missed. I am a travel agent in Washington DC, and Lucie Ford let me know of Ceil’s passing.
