Susan, words cannot adequately express my sorrow – I am so sorry for your loss. Chuck was an amazing man and one I appreciated more and more as I got to know him. To you and his children and grandchildren, I can only say that you no doubt have many wonderful memories of Chuck to sustain you, and as his faith sustained him so too can you be comforted. It was my privilege to know him. Thank you for sharing him with me and others whose lives he touched.
Dear Susan, You and Chuck are loved so much. Words cannot express how much Chuck will be missed and how sorry we are for your loss. It’s hard when God takes his angels home. But knowing that we will all be together someday gives us hope and a little smile. May God’s love embrace and bring peace to you and your family during this time.
In memory of his success as Executive Director of the AIFLD and AFL-CIO Director of International Affairs.

Dear Susan: Life’s roads have kept us apart these recent years, but Maria and I have many fond memories of you and Chuck from years ago when he was the Executive Director of AAFLI and later the Director of International Affairs of the AFL-CIO. He brought a warmth of compasion, blended with humor, to those very important positions affecting millions of lifes around the globe of peoples struggling for a better life on earth. He can rest with the Lord knowing that he helped them along the way. May His Peace comfort you in this difficult time. With warm regards, Paul and Maria Somogyi

To the Family of Chuck Gray – I’ve known Chuck for some 35 years. He helped me, as he did so many others, and we are better because of him. I was very sorry to learn of his passing. Please know that he has left a legacy of good will and good works.
When I first served as a US Labor Attache 26 years ago, Chuck Gray was the AFL-CIO’s international director. He was one of the American labor movement’s mythic figures in the realm of international affairs. Those of of us just starting out in that field stood in awe of him. He was an inspiration. My condolences to his family and friends, George Dragnich Executive Director for Social Dialogue International Labor Organization Geneva, Switzerland
