Charles Foster Wood

Charles F. Wood, 90, passed peacefully on January 14. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gloria; daughter, Lori; son, Stephen and three grandchildren, Christopher Gallagher, and Conner and Stephanie Wood. Charles is predeceased by his infant daughter, Deborah; son, Anthony and parents, George and Gertrude.
Charles was born on May 25, 1932. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Charles retired from Raython in 1994 after 36 years of service. He was a model train enthusiast and loved building and solving jigsaw puzzles. He also enjoyed watching and playing sports with his children. Every Christmas Charles would make elaborate train displays.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 27, 11:00 am, at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 8601 Wolftrap Road, Vienna, VA 22182. Burial will immediately follow at Fairfax Memorial Park.

I remember him from our visits to Virginia when we were in nursing school.
