Charles T. Kneeland "Chuck"

(Age 76)

Of Vienna, VA on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Mr. Kneeland is the son of Naval Captain Omer A. Kneeland and Lilla Exley Sims. The family settled in the Washington area where he graduated from Washington and Lee High School in 1952. He then attended Sewanee, graduating in 1956. He enrolled in Naval Officer Candidate School and served 3 years active duty aboard the U.S.S. Aldebaran. In 1960 he went to work at the National Geographic Society in the Magazine Circulation / Promotion Division, retiring from there with 30 years of service. Mr. Kneeland is survived by his wife, seven children, four grandchildren, and a sister.

I remember the love in your voice when last we spoke of how proud you were of Barb for her diligence in her exercise route. And the tenderness in your voice describing your new grandchild and the enthusiasm in the girls most recent activities. You have been a wonderful neighbor and will be miss.
