Christina Mary Richey

Passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013 with her husband and children by her side at Sunrise of Hunter Mill Assisted Living Facility, in Oakton, VA. She was born on July 12, 1950 in Benghazi, Libya to British parents assisting with post World War II administration. She was raised near Southampton, England, and worked in office administration in England, NATO Headquarters in Belgium where she met her husband, and Heidelberg, Germany where her two children were born. After six years in Germany, she moved with her family to Fairfax, VA, where she raised her children and worked as a home child care provider. She will be remembered as a kind, soft-spoken, generous, and endlessly loving wife and mother who was most happy spending time with her family and pets, doing art/crafts, and vacationing at the beach.
She is survived by Robert Richey Sr of Fairfax, VA, her husband of 30 years, daughter Rose of Oakton, VA and son Robert Jr. of Fairfax, VA, and brother Martin of Reading, England. A Memorial Service will be held at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Friday, February 8 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Christina's name to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.

I really enjoyed the years I worked with Christina at Suite 210 Associates. She was such a lovely woman. Her love for her family and pets was truly heartwarming. My condolences to her family. She was taken far too soon.
