I worked with Claudia at “Woodies” and always enjoyed her wit and sense of humor. Claudia was in the cash office , while I worked in women’s shoes. She was very devoted to her family and often spoke fondly of them. I know that you will greatly feel her loss. I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to her family.
I still remember when Claudia and I first met in East Creek 26 years ago: she was driving by our house and cheerfully greeted me and introduced herself to me. I remember the days when our kids would play together daily when they were growing up. Now I’ve lost a warm and caring friend who watched our cats and house while we were away and a good neighbor whom I could learn the latest about the neighborhood and our families. I miss her terribly.
A lovely lady that we all will miss. Please accept my thoughts and prayers at this sad time for you, Ned, and your family. We are saddened by your loss. Barbara McHale
I am still shocked by Claudia’s sudden passing. I will always remember her bright smile and offbeat sense of humor. It was always delightful to chat and laugh with her as we caught up on the neighborhood news. My thoughts and prayers are with her, Ned, DJ and Mimi, and the menagerie of animals that she loved so much. I will truly miss Claudia.
Claudia is my sister-in-law and the family was as shocked as everyone else when she passed away. Today she had a lovely church service but I would like to add to that. Claudia had a very generous heart. When she lived in Arlington she devoted countless hours at night and on weekends volunteering on the emergency room desk at Arlington Hospital. She was a foster mother to at least three children whom I remember. She took responsibility for a baby and two pre-schoolers while raising DJ… no small feat. She always gave unselfishly of her time to help others….and maintained her good sense of humor. I will miss her.
Deepest condolences to Coach Ned and his family…our prayers are with you at this difficult time.
