Connie Jonell Hargreaves

Connie Jonell Hargreaves, 81, a long-time resident of Centreville, Virginia passed away Friday, October 5th, at Fair Oaks Hospital.
She was born in Bayard, West Virginia. She married Richard Allen Hargreaves, Sr. on April 14th, 1956 after being introduced by her brother Bobby, while he and Rick were in the Marine Corps together. They celebrated 51 years of marriage before his passing in 2007.
Together they had five children, Richard Hargreaves, Jr., Cheryl Hargreaves Wagar, Bonnie Hargreaves Dean, Ronald Hargreaves, and Jeffrey Hargreaves. Connie and Rick spent many years traversing the East Coast with their children and making a home wherever they were stationed while Rick was in the Marine Corps. Connie was a stay at home mom.
Connie and Rick enjoyed wandering the East Coast for antique shops, historical landmarks, bowling, and enjoying good food and friends. Connie was "Nanny" to her 10 grandchildren Becky, Jonell, Jennifer, Brandi, Michael, Candi, Shannon, David, Brooke, and Taylor and 4 great grandchildren Erin, Everitt, Elijah, and Zoey. She is also survived by her siblings Diane Russell of Illinois and Jim Mills of Virginia.
Family and friends will be welcomed to say goodbye when Connie is laid to rest with Rick at Arlington National Cemetery in the near future.
