John and family – my deepest heartfelt condolenses on your loss! You all are in my thoughts and prayers!
Tom and I send our deepest sympathy.
Aloha nui loa, Dan. I met Capt. Dan at Bentley’s restaurant, and found we had something in common….annual trips back to Hawai’i. I will miss seeing him flash the shaka sign. A great guy. Condolences to his family.
My late husband Bill and I were longtime friends with Dan and the Arby’s group. My adult grandchildren met Dan when they were still in strollers, and always call him “Dan, Dan, the joking man.” We have many fond memories of our time together sharing stories and telling jokes, and we will miss him dearly. We send our condolences to his beloved family, whom he spoke of often and with deep affection. Juanita Mathews and family

Hi, Dan, I’ll miss seeing you at Bentley’s. I’ll miss your airline pilot sense of humor. I’ll miss hearing of Hawaii, where I lived for several years. Most of all I’ll miss your humanity. Godspeed to you, Dan, and God’s blessings upon you and your family.
