David K. Carr

David K. Carr passed at home with hospice nurse, wife, and sisters by his side on June 2, 2014 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He had just had a visit hours before from his sons Michael and Brian and their wives Tara (with Abby) and Katie.

Dave was born on September 28, 1950 and raised in Erie, Pa. He graduated from Penn State with an undergraduate degree in Political Science and a Master's in Public Administration. He was a managing partner with Coopers and Lybrand (later PWC and IBM).

Dave is survived by his loving wife Barbara Davies Carr and the beloved dad of Michael and wife Tara of Fairfax, Virginia and Brian and wife Katie of Cary, NC. He was the proud grandfather of Emma, Jack and Abby and was looking forward to the birth of Asher.

Please join his family for visitation on Thursday, June 5th, 6-8 pm. The Memorial Service will be on Friday, June 6th at 4 pm at Community of Faith United Methodist Church, 13224 Franklin Farms Road, Herndon, VA. A Celebration of Life will at the

International Country Club, 13200 Lee Jackson Memorial Highway, following the Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be contributed to Capital Caring (Hospice) 24419 Mill Stream Drive, Aldie, VA 20105. Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, 3091 Mt.
