David M. McNeil, SKC, USN, Ret, (61) of Vienna, VA whom presently resided in Culpeper, VA. passed away suddenly on Tuesday February 21, 2017. He is survived by his wife Anne A McNeil, mother Estelle McNeil, brothers William Irish and Patrick McNeil, sister Denise Green (Louis), stepson Jason Doyle (Hayley), stepdaughters Rebecca Call (Aaron) and Kathleen Heinssen (Dustin), six step-grandchildren and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Jack McNeil, YNC, USN, Ret and his baby sister Karina.

He served in the Navy for 20 years enlisting after graduation from James Madison High School in Vienna, VA. He was stationed aboard several naval vessels, had shore duties in Iceland, Africa, and various naval bases in the DC area and also saw duty aboard the USS Princeton (CG59) during the Gulf war. His passion was golfing and hunting.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Money and King funeral home in Vienna, VA from 6-8pm. A brief prayer service and repast by the American Legion will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of the deceased to the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League in Amissville, VA, or Wolftrap Animal Rescue in McLean, VA.

  1. what can i said about uncle Dave. he was like a uncle to me because he and my dad was best friends but he had alot of friends.I am glad he got to see Jason and I getting married and he had a great time.We are going to miss his laugh and him being silly.He will be miss so much.We love u Dave,R.I.P

I will never forget about all the times of hunting with dogs, and to stand beside you and witness your amazing skill of taking down deer. We are very appreciative to join you in the woods, concerts, festivals, outdoor shows, eat outs, and family gatherings. You have been a good mentor that helped guide me to better myself through out lifes moments. You will be missed very much! R.I.P. GOOD SIR!
