Born in: New Castle, Pennsylvania
Resided in: Herndon, Virginia

Diana Lynn “Cookie” Gjormand, 72, of Herndon, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 18, 2023. Cookie was born on January 17, 1951 to Mary and Stanley Gresick in Bessemer, Pennsylvania. Cookie moved to Virginia when she was 18 and started working in the administrative field. Cookie worked for various public companies but enjoyed her time at the federal government the most. Cookie was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Roy. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Miller, two brothers, Ed Gresick and Allen Gresick, stepchildren Robert Gjormand and Susan Undheim, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and
many nieces and nephews. Cookie was a simple “what you see, is what you get” type of person that loved to get together with her family for Sunday night suppers, play bingo, listen to music, go shopping with her daughter and in later years, just relax and play games on her iPad. Cookie was a kind, generous, practical, loving and stubborn lady. Cookie loved being a grandma to her five grandfur-babies. Cookie’s family is grateful to know that she is at peace and reunited with her husband and their beloved dogs.

The family would like to thank Dulles Health and Rehab Center and Capital Caring for all their TLC.
