Kathy and I were sadden to learn of Don’s passing. We have many good memories of working with you and Don to ‘properly maintain’ the grounds at Fox Mill Estates.(In the beginning!)
As a classmate of Donnie, I admiried him for he was fair, kind, compassionate and had the most beautiful smile which made you feel good, no matter what kind of mood you were in. He will be missed by friends as well as family. Unfortunately I lost track of him after graduation and am very sorry to hear of his passing so young. My love, support and prayers go to his wife Linda, his children and other family members and friends. God Bless all of you and know that Donnie is now your guardian angel to watch over and keep you safe. Sincerely Diane Ashby Gavura Class of 61/62 Loudoun County High School Currently living in Florida, Trying to move home to my Beloved Virginia.
Linda, So sorry for your loss. I know Don enjoyed my calling and telling him the latest about SPAWAR. I know he was a SPAWARRIOR at heart and really enjoyed knowing what was happening and going on. And, I really enjoyed telling him about everything. Don and Carole Velvin and I would sit and talk about our organization every morning trying to decide what was best for our people, the sposors and the command. Please know you have been in my prayers and I hope you find peace in God’s grace. Sincerely, RKS
