Don you will be dearly missed, but never forgotten! You are and always will be one of the most kindness and caring individuals that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. You are truly among Angels now and with our Lord God. Love, Wayne and the Family
My thoughts and prayers are with Don and his family. He was a very kind person and was always there for you. I was very lucky to know him and be able to spend time with him. Don truly blessed everyone he touched. Kent Fuesel
My thoughts and prayers go out to Don’s wife and family. Don was the most positive person I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. I never saw him when he didn’t have a smile to share and hand to lend. He was a wonderful human being and he will be sorely missed.
My heart, my prayers, and my condolences go out to Margaret and the rest of “Scotty’s” family. As a child, I looked up to Mr. MacLeod (this is what I always called him, even as an adult) for the man he was and for what he taught me on the soccer pitch. Those lessons learned as a young boy helped me both on the pitch and in life – I will always remember him for that. God bless you, Mr. MacLeod.
In a lifetime we all have friends who come and go, but Scotty will be one friend who remains in my heart forever because of the type of person he was. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone that he met. When I was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2005 Scotty was there for me. I know that this is a trying time for Margaret and other family members but I hope that it helps in some small way to know that they are not suffering their loss alone; that Scotty will remain in the hearts of others for years to come. We all thank God for the opportunity to have known him.
Deepest sympathy, our prayers go out to Don’s family during this time of sadness and loss. Don was such a thoughtful and kind person to all that knew him. He was always there to help in anyway he could. He will be truly missed. Love to the family.
I had the pleasure of working with Scotty for many years at Cable & Wireless. He was a wonderful and gentle man and adopted “father” to so many kids he worked with through the years. I am sure he will be sorely missed! He taught me so much while we worked together and I send his family my heartfelt condolences!
My thoughts and prayers go out to Don’s family at this time.He was a true gentleman and I feel very privileged and fortunate to have known him.I always looked forward to meeting Don on the soccer pitch,he had that big smile on his face as he came up to you to shake your hand,he will be sorely missed.
I was very fortunate to work with Don for a number of years at Cable & Wireless. He was always one of the most positive, accomodating people you would ever find. He was always available to help with an issue or to provide you with the benefit of his previous years at AT&T. He will be sorely missed and I’ll think of him every time I enjoy a “wee dram” of whisky.
I’m deeply sorry to hear Don has passed away. I worked with Don at Cable and Wireless from 1991 thru 1997. He was a great guy and it was always enjoyable working with him. He made my job easier, and it was a pleasure to have known him because he connected personally with everyone.
My thoughts and prayers to Don’s family. It was a pleasure to work with Don. I remember looking forward each Monday to hear about his weekend golf outings. He loved to play no matter what the weather.
I was so sorry to hear of Don’s passing. He always had a smile to share with everyone he met. He took the time to help where needed and his kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. My prayers go out to his family. He will truly be missed.
I had the pleasure of working with Don at Cable and Wireless. In his office surrounded by pictures of his family, he always had a fun story to share, he never let a bad day affect him and was always there to lend a hand and share his wealth of knowledge. My heart and prayers go out to his family and friends.
Don and Margaret MacLeod were our neighbors while our three boys were young. They were wonderful, warm neighbors, always happy to see the boys playing on the circle and it was clear how close Margaret and Don were to each other. For years we watched them take walks all over Vienna and often saw them sharing a cup of coffee and a chat at Whole Foods after their walks. He will be missed. We are very sorry for the family’s loss.
I have been playing golf with Scotty for the last few years. He always made me smile. He is such a great guy. I was always amazed that he still played soccer “football” even at his age. I always bragged about him to friends and family. He will always be remembered. God Bless. Your Friend Always, Millard
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Don at Cable & Wireless. He was the kindest soul I ever met. My thoughts and prayers are with Don’s family.
Don Gonna miss you pal. Thanks for the fun. ko
I wish to express my condolence to Don’s Family. I worked with Don at Cable & Wireless. I am sadden to hear of his passing, however, I know he is in a better place. He was a smart and very likeable person. He will be missed. God bless his family and friends.
My heartfelt sympathy goes to Don’s family at this time of sadness and loss. I’ve too, have had the pleasure of working with Don for many years at Cable & Wireless.
I was deeply saddened to hear of the loss of dear Donnie. Margaret, my thoughts and prayers go out to you in this challenging time. I will long miss Donnie, as I have spent most every Saturday for the last 30 years with Donnie on the soccer field. He was the most positive, resiliant, and amiable player I have ever know, and continued to make significant contributions to the team, both in act and in attitude, throughout his tenure. Donnie, it has been an honor, and a pleasure to know you, and we are all better for it. We will miss you, surely, but never forget you!
I was surprised and very saddened at the news of Don’s passing, a long-time, and much beloved and respected Cable & Wireless colleague. I have many happy memories of chats of golf (which I know little about, but was always amused at his devotion & to hear tales from the weekend), travel, and family — that is, when I wasn’t interrupting him for help with work. He was always ready and willing to be of assistance, regardless of how busy, and always had a smile. My deepest condolences to Margaret and the rest of the family.
His smile and generosity will not be forgotten.
I worked at Cable & Wireless for a couple of years a long time ago. Don is one of the people that I remember fondly. He was one of the sweetest persons I ever met. Take comfort in your memories of your good times together. You both were very lucky.
I will forever be thankful for and blessed with the time, love and passion Mr. MacLeod devoted to all if us as our coach growing up. To this day I have the warmest memories of the countless hours spent learning, laughing, and training with him, my friends and my sister (he even let my little sister join practice) on the soccer pitch growing up in Vienna. My thoughts, prayers and love are with Mr. MacLeod’s family. Thank you and God bless you Mr. MacLeod.
What a charming fellow Don was! I worked with him at Cable and Wireless. I spoke with him on several occasions while gathering user requirements and every time I was impressed by what a charming, sweet man he was. I know that we would all agree that we’re honored to have known him. God bless, Don.
