Donna Rae Jakobsson
November 24, 1928 ~ May 20, 2021
Donna Rae Jakobsson of Vienna, VA passed away peacefully on May 20, 2021, at the age of 92. Born and raised on a farm in Iowa, Donna took a job with the State Department in Washington, D.C. in the 1950s. She traveled the world to South America, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and throughout the U.S., for both work and pleasure.
Donna had a passion for genealogy research, and was always willing to share what she learned with fellow researchers and family. Through genealogy, she made connections with distant relatives around the world. Donna also loved to read, and was an accomplished seamstress.
Most of all she loved spending time with her family, all of whom will miss her greatly. Donna is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ted, her two daughters, Andrea Persinger (John), Kathryn Costner (Steve), and grandkids Jack, Alexa, Joe and Allison. She is also survived by her sister Dianne Fennern (Donnie) and many nieces and nephews.
