To simply say I will miss you, Grandma, is an understatement. I still cannot fathom the fact that you are gone. Yet, I do find comfort in the fact you are now in heaven with the good Lord, watching down on me constantly. You are one of the strongest woman I know and I feel blessed to have had you in my life since the day I was born. I learned a lot from you by watching and listening thru the years. You were a giver and do’er, you cared for your family and many others while working at Fairfax Hospital, you had to look your best every single day (while we all waited 2 or more hours for you to get ready), you were soft and fiesty — no one was to mess with you or your family, or they were in for it! No one was to cut you off in traffic or they would no about it! You had a sense of humor and were good at telling jokes and making us laugh, you were a great cook and I will forever miss your meals and those Sunday dinners. I find solace in the fact that you are no longer hurting, no longer in pain, but I struggle with not being able to talk with you, spend time with you, shop with you, and simply just laugh together at silly stuff. I know this is not the end. You are now free, and at peace. You are not bound by the confinement of your declining health anymore, and you are free to laugh, move, dance, and play in ways you have not been able to do in years. You are now reunited with Granddaddy and spending your days with the Lord. You are Home. I love you Grandma! Until we meet again, All my love. XOXO
What can i say Doris… you have been a big part of my life for a good while now and I am going to miss you so much. We have started trying to put our lives back to normal but i am not sure how long that is going to take. Juanita misses you so much. I hope you know how much Brennon and I Loved you. You will never be forgotten. Until we meet again fly high. I love you.
