Edith Mirsky of Fairfax, VA died on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. She was born on June 5, 1927 in Mt. Vernon, NY to the late Phillip and Rose Marie(Pisano) Lambrosa. She was a graduate of A.B. Davis High School in Mt Vernon NY; a playground supervisor at Hartly Park and retired from her job as a periodicals clerk at the Mount Vernon Public Library. She was the loving wife of the late Richard Mirsky. she is survived by her children, Michael Mirsky, Audrey Mirsky-Ashby(Mark) and Vivian Beale and four grandchildren, Theodore W. Beale III. Keith Mirsky-Ashby, Kerry Goetz(Aaron) and Michael Ashby. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Lotus and Henning Goetz, Konstanz, Blake, Sophia and Delilah Ashby. She was loving aunt to her nieces and newphews. Relatives and friends are invited to Edith's Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave, Vienna, VA on Tuesday June 16, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rosary Hill Home, 600 Linda Ave, Hawthorne NY 10532 or Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Ave, New York NY 10065

Dear Audrey, I will never forget the look of joy on your face whenever you shared some of the countless, animated stories about your mother during the last 3 years she lived with you, Mark and Keith. I remember laughing so hard with you as you delivered those stories in your special style. They now must certainly lay the foundation for what surely will be such precious memories of your mother and your time together. I’m sure momma is whistling even now, enjoying a beautiful and peaceful sunset. I wonder what tune she’s whistling?
