Long ago, when Elinor first worked at Layton Hall, we would look foward to her coming around the corner into our office, because she would be our sunshine. As we chatted all would be okay, and our life would be much easier because she would lighten our work. She was a grand lady, and we have missed her so much. I’m terribly sorry that she is gone, and I know she’s talking about her family at this very moment. Sincerely Barbara Gillis
My cousin was always a cheerful and happy person, as I remember her from my youth. I saw her mainly at holiday times once they moved to Roanoke, but think warmly of her. Our deepest sympathy to your family.
Mrs. Belk was a wonderful teacher to my son, Sasha. She taught him in 5th & 6th grade reading @ Daniels Run 2 yrs ago. She was always sweet & caring. I appreciate the time & effort she put into helping Sasha. She really made a difference in his life!
