Elise Wagner Mackie, 90, passed away peacefully at home in Fairfax, Va., on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. She is survived by her children, Lora Elise Mackie of Herndon, Va., and A. William Mackie of Alexandria, Va., and four grandchildren, Diana, Danielle and John Mackie and William Meinert who are joined in their enduring love for her by many relatives and cherished friends. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life is scheduled for Saturday, March 28th at 6:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fairfax, 2709 Hunter Mill Road, Oakton, Va 22124. Donations may be made in her memory to Capital Caring Hospice, 24419 Millstream Drive, Aldie, Va 20105.

Dear families, My deepest condolences to your family for the loss of Ms. Elise. Loosing a beloved one to death is the most difficult thing that we have to deal with and face. While Jesus was here on the earth he gave us the wonderful hope that we can and will be able to see our dead love ones again whom we have lost in death through the resurrection. These are the promises that Jehovah God and Jesus has given to us at John 5: 28, 29, “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” May these words bring comfort to your family during this very sad and difficult times as you mourn the loss of your loved one.
