I was so very sorry to see the notice in the Post today and learn of Betty Ann’s death. We became good friends through the National Gallery’s Foreign Language Docent program, to which she contributed greatly with her time and talent, and we shared a wonderful, memorable trip to Spain and many happy times together. My heart goes out to all her family and friends at this very sad time.
Dearest George, Maureen, Chris, and Carolyn, Please forgive the informality of this elecronic method of sharing my sympathy. I thought the world of your mom/mother-in-law. She had such a welcoming and personable personality. It was always so good to run into your parents from time to time. I felt they were both so happy to see me. I felt likewise. Perhaps it was their warmth that made me feel that way. I remember your mom as such a graceful and genuine woman. Her manners were lovely and she was so full of life. One of these days you all will remember her vividly, as I do, in the prime of her life loving each of you and so very proud of you. God bless you in this time of grief. I love you each and promise to pray for your mom and for you, Linda
Forgive me Caroline for misspelling your name. Tell George to give me a call when things calm down. I am somewhat familiar with your feelings as my mother’s death was quite difficult for me. As someone once told me, “In a year you will feel a little bit better.” Tincture of time seems the only remedy. I am so very sorry for your loss. My love, Linda
George, Chris & Caroline, so sorry to learn of your Mom’s passing. She was a great lady. We will see you in October. Love, Ken, Diane & girls.
George, Chris, & Caroline, We’re so very sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. Please know our thoughts & prayers are with all of you. God bless you. Love, Uncle Hugh & Jan
Dear Carolyn, Chris, & George: Stan and I just received word that your Mother, Betty Ann had passed away in August. She and your Dad were good friends and neighbors whom we shall remember fondly. Please accept our sincere condolences. We know you and your loved ones and families will miss them both.
Dear Caroline, Chris and George, The memory I have of your mother is one of wit and elegance. Betty Ann had a keen interest in everything around her. She was smart, capable, and funny; and had that rare combination of being down-to-earth..yet noble. She will be greatly missed! Margarete de Soleil, Carolines childhood friend
Carolyn & family, I was so sorry to hear that your mom had passed. I have fond memories of your mom in high school as my spanish teacher. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
