Elizabeth Newton Boswell
October 4, 1933 ~ December 4, 2021
Elizabeth Newton Boswell, 88, a longtime resident of Vienna, Va., passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 surrounded by her children, with the dulcet sounds of Hallmark Christmas movies in the background.
She was the wife of the late William Thomas Boswell, who passed in 2019. They were married for more than 60 years. Tom and Elizabeth moved to Vienna in the mid 1960s; it was the ideal location for Elizabeth because she could easily walk wherever she needed to go.
Elizabeth held many different kinds of jobs, including a brief stint at the CIA (which she considered ultra boring), until she found her calling as a teacher. It was the perfect choice for her because it allowed her to raise her family and have a career. She loved and taught generations of preschoolers for the next 50+ years.
She is survived by her children, Mike (Karrie), Liz (Bob), and Wayne (Jenna); and her grandchildren, Samantha and Damianos.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, 2650 S. Arlington Mill Rd., Arlington, Va 22206.

I am so sorry to hear of Liz’s passing. We taught together for many years at V.T.T.V. I have so many fond memories of her, she was the PreK teacher for both of my children. The world has lost a shining star.
