Guestbook

  1. I can see Betsy now in the halls at Falls Church High School! She was the nicest, most kind and easily the best person in the school. She was wonderful! And then to see her 50 years later at the reunion; a cancer survivor and still the same wonderful person. She shall be missed greatly. My prayers are with all you family members–you know you have lost someone very special. All my love, Sharon Doran Class of 1953.

  2. As a child, Aunt Betsy was the fun aunt with a wonderful smile. She always had great candy to share and I always enjoyed visiting. I will never forget how thoughtful and generous she was to my parents, remembering special occasions with gorgeous flowers and abundant fruit baskets-often thinking of others. My heart goes out to her family and friends during this difficult time.

  3. Deb and John Jr., I first met your mother in 1960, when she was still living in Arlington, Virginia. I met her when I worked with the Buhl’s as an electrician’s helper. I was also known to her by my nickname “cootie”. She went to Falls Church High School with my sisters Sara and Louise DeGroot. We were sadden to hear the news and wanted to extend our condolences. Jon and Carolyn DeGroot

  4. I have many fond memories of Betsy during our years at Falls Church High. I will keep your family in my prayers. She was a great person.

  5. Dear Buhl family: We are so sad to learn of the passing of your mother and grandmother. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. With sympathy, Gayle Trotter and family

  6. Betsy was a true friend to our sister. Her friendship was the few-in-a-lifetime jewel that gives and receives so marvelously. Her friendship indicates the wonderful person she was.

  7. Betsy was a long time friend to my sister. They shared many of the good parts of life together. What I appreciate the most about Betsy was her kindness to my mother in her latter years. She would always call or send her a small gift on special occassions. This is a quality that set her apart.

  8. Thinking back, I can say that no one besides my mother was so loving and kind to me and my family. Betsy was an amazing person with a very big heart. She had a great sense of humour; she had unique music memory could tell you the name of the composer after listening to just a few notes. Betsy was a ray of sunshine in our life here, in Washington. Eugenia, Nina and Michael miss you very much.

  9. I will miss a loving and caring friend. Betsy was so much fun and she was so smart. She always had time for others. We remember special people and she was special. My prayers are with her family and friends.
