Elva Marie Sapio, of Vienna, VA, died on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Fairfax Hospital. She is the loving wife of 47 years to Richard; devoted mother of Richard (Cindy), Christopher Michael (Nicole) and Robert (Amanda); cherished grandmother of Nicholas, Andrew, Kate and Natalie. She is also survived by her 2 brothers, John (Carolyn) Farrell and Celestine (Jean) Farrell. Elva is predeceased by her 3 sisters, Anne, Irene, and Mary and 2 brothers Jim and Gerard. Her family was her proudest accomplishment, and she leaves behind a legacy of great love among her many devoted family members. She volunteered for 20+ years for the Dunn Loring Ladies Auxiliary and was named a Life Member. Relatives and friends are invited to Elva's Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Monday, January 7 from 6-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 8601 Wolf Trap Rd., Vienna, VA on Tuesday, January 8 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in Elva's memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 (reference Tribute #32543465).

  6. I only got to visit aunt Elva maybe 4 times because we live so far away. Even so, I remember her as very funny and so loving. Every time she would leave we would all say how we wished she lived closer. I also remember when her and her sisters came down for my grandparents (cel and jean Farrell) anniversary surprise party, they were quiete the hoot! Ill never forget the few memories she gave me and I’m sure the same goes for anyone who has been a part of her life. Peace prayers and blessings to the family and friends of elva.
