Many memories of going to states and Hartford Open. Golfed 9 holes with him and Kim at Barracks. He kept carrying his golf bag and hers until he said she was pregnant. Nice pictures and letters from a most special young man; who will be in my thoughts forever. My heart goes out to his family and many friends at this trying time.
Eric was one of the best people I have ever met. When he was still a single man he spent many hours of his “free time” helping his neighbors in Pimmit Hills with various yard work tasks, and truly wanted no monetary rewards. We will miss his incredible giving spirit and love of life.
Our hearts are broken to hear of the passing of your dear Eric. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers now, and in the difficult days ahead. Love, Vicki and Ed
Mary Lou, We are so sorry for your loss, our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Marylou, We will always remember Eric as a kind, caring, loving and handsome young man. It was our pleasure to know him. Our most sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy. With love always. Toni & Tom Longshroe
MaryLou, We are so sorry to hear of your tragic loss. As you are often the shoulder for others to lean on – know that there are many people who want to help and will in any way. Kevin remembers Eric from high school and umpiring old man softball and what a wonderful kid he was. We know how close you are with your family and how important that bond will be for you now. Please call on us if there is anything we can do. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Thinking of you, Carrie Zales and Kevin Richardson
matt and i are so sorry for your loss and we are hear to help in anyway during this very difficult time.

Mary Lou, you and your family are in our thoughts and hearts. Eric was a very special young man–we are all better for having known him. With love; Mary Ellen, George, Kate and Elise Hassfurter (Carole’s sister)
Dear MaryLou and family. I am heartsick for your loss. You have my prayers and deepest condolences.
Eric was a great man full of self-sacrifice for others. I remember one day he biked to work from Vienna to Leesburg in the snow, a distance of about 20 miles each way, so his wife could have a reliable vehicle for work. Eric was a very devoted family man and consummate professional who will be sorely missed.
No words….know how sad we are and how much we love you and how much you are all loved, Hugs
I was so saddened to hear about your son Eric’s death. My heart and prayers are with you.
To the LaRocque family – Words cannot express how truly saddened we at Dewberry are for the loss of your son. He was quiet, but pleasant in demeanor, always had a smile, and was a consummate professional. He was always eager to both learn and teach and was deeply respected by everyone fortunate to work with him. Personally, I will cherish the memories of working with him. I will miss him greatly. With deepest sympathies, Glenn D. Pearson Associate Vice President Dewberry
There are no words to describe the loss of Eric. He was a great person and his devotion to his wife and children was immense. I’m so sorry for your loss Kim. Keeping you and the little ones in my prayers.
To Eric’s family and loved ones, I just heard about Eric’s passing last night. I am so very shocked and saddened to know that he is gone. He was such a great person and a wonderful father and husband. I had the privilege of meeting Eric my last year at Virginia Tech when he and Kim began dating. He always had a big grin on his face whenever I got the chance to see him and that is how I will always remember him. I know this is a terrible loss for so many and I will keep his memory with me always. Blair Flesch

I am absolutely heart broken for the entire Pham/Larocque family. This is truly tragic and senseless. I had the pleasure of catching up with Eric on numerous occasions, and enjoyed every conversation. A truly genuine human being with empathy and care for others. Words cannot lessen the devastation of this action, my heart is heavy.
My dear friend – please know we are thinking of you and sending love and support. There are no words to describe how sorry we are that your family is going through this. I hope it is some small comfort to know Eric and you have touched so many lives and your community is here loving and supporting you.
As a friend & colleague, I have only known Eric for 1 year, but I will tell you this, he left a big impression on me as an individual. Eric was kind, considerate, loving, caring, compassionate, eager to learn, trustworthy, dependable and professional in every encounter I had with him. He will truly be missed, but never forgotten! David Cooper
Dear MaryLou, Our hearts are broken for you and your family. We are so sorry for the tremendous loss and pain that you are having to endure. Neither one of us knew Eric, but it sounds as though he was a wonderful man who had the same kind, giving, generous spirit as his mom. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
So sorry to learn of Eric’s passing. A truly impressive young man who was always a pleasure to talk to and work with. He will be greatly missed.
Eric was a very nice guy. We used to chat about our families when he was up here in the Baltimore office working on a project. He loved you all very much. He will be missed and I’m very sorry for your loss.
It seems that God calls on the good ones sooner. I worked with Eric briefly when I started at Dewberry and was in contact with him couple more times after that. He was kind, intelligent, and honest young man. May his soul rest in peace and good memories of being with him help you and your family during this difficult time.
To Eric’s family: My deepest, heartfelt condolences for your loss. I’ve worked with Eric at Dewberry for the last few years, and he always had a smile and kind word. He was truly a great person and will be sorely missed. May God provide you all enough strength to face these difficult times, although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer
Dear Family, I got the privilege to work with Eric for only one and a half years but during that time I learned so much from Eric. He was a humble, bright star and by far one of the biggest hearts I know. He always cared for others and loved his family. He always took the time to encourage each and every one of us and offer help when needed. He always had a smile on his face when he was talking about the outdoors trips he took with his wife and children. Eric, you will never be forgotten and I hope that my little boy will grow up to be just as inspiring as you were. Your little kids are in my prayers.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Eric was an extraordinary person; you knew it when you were in his presence. He was always generous with his time and attention, from his stopping on his bike and offering to change my cars flat tire, or, with a grin, talking about dancing with the girls in front of the tv to a childrens show. We were all graced to know him.
Mary Lou, I’m heart sick for you. I’m so so sorry this happened. Eric was such a nice man and it’s such a devastating loss. He had a wonderful life and upbringing with you, hold on to that as much as possible. I’m so sorry for your loss.
It feels like yesterday we celebrated the wonderful wedding of Kim and Eric in the old farm house in Virginia. We were more saddened to hear hear about the news. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kim, the kids, the Laroques and the Phams. With all the love Bryan, Melissa and Bryan Jr
Our sincerest condolences to my classmate, John LaRocque and his entire family and also to Eric’s Mom Mary Lou and her entire family. No parent should have to experience this loss. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you each and every day. Please let us know what we can do to help..
I am so sorry to hear of Eric’s passing. I knew him through the small young professionals group for wastewater engineers in Northern VA. He was always such a friendly person and I’m so saddened to hear he has passed. I am thinking and praying for his family.

Dear Mary Lou- My heart breaks for you. There are no words to express how sorry I am for your loss of Eric. You are in my prayers. Love, Rowena
I had the privilege of being Eric’s direct supervisor at Dewberry over the past year (talk about someone making you look good!). As such, he and I had many conversations about his professional goals and aspirations; even as recently as last Thursday where he was so excited about a new project with a new client we had just been awarded and the opportunities it would present to him. Eric was an engineer’s engineer (introverted, very deliberate, highly analytical, and a true problem-solver), but when it came to family, he was devout. I will miss mentoring him on the nuisances and importance of relationship building in this business, and I want his family to know that he left this world with the utmost respect from all of us who worked with him on a daily basis. Rest in peace my man, obviously God has bigger plans for you!
Mary Lou,So sorry for you and family. He was such a great person and loved by all! Cricket and Don
I’m so sorry for your loss. My heart is breaking for you Kim and I’ll continue to pray for healing for you and your children.
Mary Lou,So sorry for you and family. He was such a great person and loved by all! Cricket and Don
MaryLou…there are few words to be said that can bring comfort during such a sad time. But know that you are in my prayers and that others love you and share a piece of your grief.
Our Dear MaryLou – Let us help you carry your broken heart and mingling those pieces with ours we can create a giant heart to carry your boys memory and spirit above the pain of this world into the light of pure love and peace! May you and your family find comfort in our prayers, With love Emily
Mary Lou, I just wanted to tell you that I am deeply sorry for your pain. I can not even imagine and wish I could offer anything that could help. Please let me know if I can do anything at all to help you here in Plattsburgh. I send you love and sympathy. Our entire school community is thinking of you.
Marylou and family, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. While I didn’t know Eric personally, I recently had the pleasure of traveling with his beautiful daughter while heading to DC with Marylou. She is an amazing child, which is a direct reflection of all the people in her life. I can’t begin to know your pain, but know you are loved by many. Marylou, May all the compassion, love, and support you have shown to so many over the years be given back to you tenfold. You are I my thoughts.

To Eric’s Family, My heart goes out to you for having to deal with this tragedy. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I had just started working with Eric on the National China Garden project. Not only was he technically strong he was able to clearly and understandably explain what he was doing to non-technical people, which is a gift. He was also a genuinely nice person. Even though I did not know he long I will truly miss him.

I am so sorry for the loss of a great man. Words cannot express my sadness. I had the honor of knowing Eric from the first day I can remember. We grew up two streets away and we’re inseparable from the day we met. I will always cherish the memories we had including various sporting events , cookouts, and of course the intense wiffle ball games in the back yard. That is only a couple of memories. Their are thousands more. Eric was the kindest person I knew. If you had a problem with him you had a problem with yourself. I will miss you my good friend. Until we meet again.
I went to my first school dance with Eric. Such a gentleman, kind and sweet, even when we were so young. There are truly only good thoughts and memories of him as a young man. I will remember him fondly. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I am so sorry for your loss.
Mary Lou, we are so sorry to hear of Eric’s passing, you are in our prayers.
Eric was my former co-worker and we have been friends since then. He was the most talented, confident and inspiring person I have met in my life. Although he was an accomplished environmental engineer, his eagerness and efforts to acquire electrical engineering and financial/economics knowledge by taking classes at VT and NOVA on his personal time to become a well rounded engineer was truly amazing. He was professionally talented, but as a person he always wanted to help people whom he knew and he was respected by everyone he knew. I will truly miss my friend Eric and my thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Denise, Marcia and the entire Larocque family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of such your beloved nephew. I’ve read all the wonderful memorials his numerous friends and colleagues have left and he truly sounded like a remarkable young father and human being. He appeared to be kind hearted and of generous spirit …just as I remember you and Marcia. He will always be in your hearts and I know you will reflect back on your memories of your time with him often. I wish you peace and comfort in the love and support of friends and family. You are never far from my thoughts. Cathy
I am hononered to say Eric shared his compassion in life with all. It’s not everyday one meets a person with numerous positive acts of compassion. I will hold a special memory of you. Love Always, Your Childhood Classmate, Emily Stacey
