On Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Iliff Nursing Home, formerly of Arlington and Oakton, Va. Sister of Mary Hughes and Jim Myers. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ray and William and her sister Alice. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oakton Church of the Brethren.

I am so sorry to learn of Ethel’s passing. She and i were close friends and we worked together at the telephone company for over 30 years. She was a great friend and loved her family. She will be missed by all that knew her.
I worked with Ethel at Glebe Road when I first started with the telephone company. I had a lot of respect for Ethel. She was a hard worker! I’m glad I had the opportunity to know and work with her.
My first memories of Ethel are from my childhood. A visit to her home always included candy treats and books with beautiful photos and verses. She was quiet and caring, and very devoted to family, painstakingly noting the birth and passing of every Myers relative and sharing the news at family reunions. There’s one thing I could always count on at Christmas… a card from Aunt Ethel. Thank you Ethel. Your cards have been appreciated and it will be missed this year. Peace be with you.
