Eugene Thomas Ryan, age 66, of Fairfax, Virginia. Died on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at his home. He is the loving husband of Nancylee Ryan and devoted father of Colleen Ryan. He is the son of the late Thomas J. and Isabella M. (O'Brien) Ryan. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters; Carol Mclean, Patricia (Dan) Driscoll, Kathleen Fila, Joseph Ryan, and Neal (Helen) Ryan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

My thoughts are with your family during this difficult time.
To Uncle Gene, You lived an amazing life. From your career in the service, to the years following. You were intelligent, comforting, and always seemed to be there for others. You would have done anything for your wife, daughter, family and friends. And it was obvious to anyone that knew you. You tackled life with an extreme thirst for knowledge and new experiences. I can only hope I live mine with half the enthusiasm you lived yours. I will miss you. To Colleen and Aunt Nancy, I am sorry. I can’t even begin to try and understand the pain you are feeling right now. All I can say is that your father and husband was an amazing man. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal.” My deepest sympathies
Nancy, We’re so sorry to learn (at this late date) of Gene’s passing. He lived his life to its fullest even with the adversity of his illness. Rest assured you’ll meet in heaven and he’ll be waiting to take you dancing once again to the Kaiser Ball, but this time the ball will last forever! Paul and I will miss Gene.
