FLORENCE JEAN MCMAHON (AGE 91)
Florence Jean McMahon, a retired nurse with INOVA Fairfax Hospital passed away peacefully in Virginia Beach on July 29, 2022. Florence was born in Birdsboro, PA on December 2, 1930. She was a BSN graduate of Albright College in Reading, PA and MSN graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. She moved to Vienna, VA in 1961 and subsequently worked at Fairfax Hospital for approximately 40 years.
A founding member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Vienna, VA in 1965, Florence was also a benefactor of St. Mark Catholic School. She was predeceased by her late husband, Francis J. McMahon (1923 – 2014). She is survived by her five children: Michael F. McMahon (Marie Weinmann), Monica M. Vickers (David), Anne E. Iannucci (Vincent), Paul N. McMahon and Rose B. McMahon (Julie Ames). She is also survived by her four grandchildren Daniel V. Iannucci, Drew Iannucci, Kevin M. Iannucci, and Patrick F. McMahon.
The family will receive friends at St. Mark Catholic Church, 9970 Vale Rd., Vienna, VA on Saturday, August 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be private on future date.
