  8. Dearest Gadell brothers, sisters and family. I am very sorry for your loss. Although there have many years gone by, the great memories spent with your family are unforgettable. Christmas at your home was the best!! summer BBQ’s amazing and your dad as head of household just as amazing as his wine!!! With deepest sympathy for all.

  9. I’m sure you don’t remember this at all, but your father has always been a hero to my family. My sister Pat was just 15 when our mother died. My older sister, Chris, and I came home from college to the chaos of making arrangements for a funeral and wake. Our dad was in poor health himself, and had never cooked a meal in his married life. Your family (I think Mary was in Pat’s class at O’Connell)simply appeared at our house with an enormous amount of food. Aunts, uncles, cousins, who had gathered just watched in amazement. And after visiting with Pat, you left again. It was one of the most generous and selfless acts I have ever seen. I’m sure there have been many memories and stories retold in recent days. My husband, Rick Kingman (Joe’s class), also recalls attending Mass at the Meatlocker when Our Lady of Good Counsel was being built, and he says your father was legendary in the parish. Please accept our condolences. We’ll be praying for you all, and will always remember your dad.
