Ginette Boucher passed away peacefully in the early morning of Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Providencia Assisted Living Home in Lewisville, Texas.
On June 27, 1944, Ginette was born to Roger and Therese Beaudoin in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada and was the first of four siblings. Before marrying and moving to the United States, she completed her studies to become a nurse.
Her best friend introduced her to her future husband Paul Boucher and they were married one year later in July 1967. They lived briefly in Massachusetts before moving to Virginia where she lived for almost 40 years. In 2011, Ginette moved to Dallas, Texas where she lived the remainder of her life.
Ginette was well known for her gracious hospitality and love for entertaining. To enhance her already impressive cooking skills, she attended the L'Academie de Cuisine in Maryland as well as the famous Ritz Escoffier cooking school in Paris, France. For nearly 25 years, she channeled her passion for food and entertaining into a thriving full service catering company.
She also loved to garden and could be found most mornings tending to the flowerbeds in her backyard.
Ginette is the beloved wife of her late husband, Paul R. Boucher who passed away in 1982. She is survived by her two cherished children Eric and Nicole Boucher. She is also survived by her sisters, Nicole Roy and Josee Beaudoin and brother, Jean Beaudoin.
A memorial service to celebrate Ginette's life will be held at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 Maple Avenue, West, Vienna, VA on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11am. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit with the family prior to the service from 9-11am. Inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ginette's name to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
