Gretchen Jean Croghan, 70, of Reston, VA, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Fairfax Hospital after bravely battling pancreatic cancer for over a year. She was born June 9, 1941 in Mount Airy, NC, to the late George and Margaret Harwick. Gretchen was married twice, first to Gerald Barrack and then to William Croghan. She is survived by a brother, Alex Harwick; six children, Carla Barrett, Karen Theron, Jennifer Lindsay, Brian Croghan, Kevin Croghan, and George Croghan; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two cats.
