Harry G. Brooks, of Oakton, VA, died on July 4, 2013 at his residence with his family at his side. He was a loving father to four children: Cynthia (Paul) Kane, Jennifer (Robert) Scott, Mindy (Harry) Mulford, and Harry (Melissa) Brooks. Harry was the proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren; Lindsey, Luke, Sarah, Jessica, Josie, Elizabeth, Michael, Garrett, Samantha, George, Hannah, Lucy, Sophie, William, and Ellie. His beloved wife of 46 years, Dolores Brooks passed away in 2010. He is survived by his brother Byron (Rose) Brooks and sister Helen Young.

Harry attended Syracuse University, 1951 and Harvard Business School 1953. In 2001, he retired from the National Automotive Dealers Association after 26 years as Executive Director of the retirement trust.

Family and friends are invited to Mr. Brooks Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Sunday, July 7, from 1 p.m. until time of funeral services at 2 p.m. A reception will immediately follow the services at Westwood Country Club. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dolores Brooks Scholarship Fund, checks payable to New Providence Republican Women, 10427 Marbury Rd., Oakton, VA 22124 or the American Cancer Society.
