Harvey M. Kerns of Hamilton, VA, on Wednesday, February 21, 2007. Loving husband of Emmiline V. Kerns, devoted father of Melvin (Pauline) Kerns, Stanley (Roberta) Kerns, a step-daughter Jane (Daniel) Phillips and a step-son Charles Almquist. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was Preceded in death by his first wife Ida V. Kerns.

Susan Kerns, my fiancee, had told me so much about Mr. Harvey Kerns. I was truly looking forward to meeting him while home on leave in late April. I pray that the Good Lord provides comfort to the family in their time of need. Keith Stafford
