Horace P. Caffi, Sr. “Hi-C” (Age 91)
Of Gainesville, Va., formerly of Vienna, Va., Passed away on
Monday, May 20, 2019. Beloved husband of the late
Eugenia “Gene” Caffi, devoted father of Paula Hyer (Mark)
and H. Paul Caffi, Jr., father-in-law of May P. Caffi; grandfather
of Amanda (Adam Berneche), Matt and Logan; great-grandfather of Calder,
Grant, Lillymay and Everett.
The family will receive friends at the Money & King Funeral Home,
171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, Va., on Wednesday, May 29th from
2-4 & 6-8 PM where funeral services will be held on Thursday
May 30th at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Quantico National
Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made to Capital Caring Hospice.

My deepest sympathy to the family for your loss. He was such a wonderful man who gave so much to Vienna girls softball. He will be remembered as a kind, positive inspiration to many. RIP HiC. Jan Duffy

Horace signed my Postal drivers license in 1974, we both were at the Merrifield Post Office Sectional Center for years. May he Rest In Peace. Don and Peggy Schulz

Horace, “Hi C”, Caffi is a dear and truly great memory of a man we so respected in the girls softball leagues in Vienna, Va. Our daughter, Tracy Johnson, played Pig Tail Pony Tail and Shamrocks for 10 years and Hi C. was always a wonderful presence and facilitator for the leagues. His support, his life, can’t be matched, and we share in your grief. A great man has passed this life to the next. God’s blessings to his whole family. Bob and Marie Johnson
I extend my deepest condolences to Mr. Caffi’s family and pray they find comfort knowing that he is at peace and with his beloved Jean. There are too many memories to pick one … riding on his motor scooter, playing ball, working for him (where I met my high school boyfriend of 5 years), and even him telling my Momma that I had taken her best heels and left them in the rain (long story) and how much he loved telling it over the years including entertaining guests at his 90th birthday party with it just last year. Mr. Caffi was beloved by all and will be missed. May he rest in peace ?

What a man Hi C was! One of the dearest, most caring people I have had the good fortune to know. Thoughts and prayers to his immediate family and his extended VPPL family.
It was so great working with Horace at Caffi’s Florist. Every morning when I would come thru the door, he would say “Morning Glory!” How many bosses say that? He cared and I was grateful to know him..Sorry for your loss..His favorite subject when I worked with him was his children and grandchildren..! Robyn Hardy

I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. When someone we love dies, it’s natural to want to see that person again. God promises us that He will comfort us in our trials if we go to him in prayer. 2 Corinthians 1:3 calls him the God of all comfort. Very sorry to see this. We were lucky enough to meet Horace and spend some time with him and his family at his house and at some Redskins games. His memory will never be forgot as he has had a profound impact on Vienna and the countless people he interacted with and positively influenced during his lifetime. My condolences to Mr. Caffi’s family. I played on one of the Ponytail teams he coached, the Villagers, for three years in the late 70s and remember him as such a kind, positive, funny, and encouraging person.
