Huei Ling Chen (1938 – 2023)

Huei Ling Chen, 85, of Reston, VA, died on December 6, 2023.

She was born on October 2, 1938, in Hsin Chu, Taiwan. Ling was the third of five children: she had an older sister, an older brother, and two younger sisters. Ling earned a bachelor’s degree from National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan. She immigrated to the United States in 1964 and married Chuan Yuan Chen. They were married for 59 years. They had two daughters, Audrey and Patty. She was devoted to her husband and children her entire life and did not seek employment until both children had graduated from high school. Being a career caregiver, she worked at a day care for over a decade. Ling was smart, gentle and virtuous. Her husband and children were blessed by her love and care.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Chesterbrook Taiwanese Presbyterian Church, Falls Church, VA. Donations to Alzheimer’s Association would be greatly appreciated.
