To the family of Ivonne Cunarro, may God be with you at this time for the loss of your love one. Ivonne was my Supervisor for a short period of time at the Department of Commerce, Office of Human Capital Strategy and Diversity. In hearing of her passing, was a shock to me and other co-workers. I pray that God will continue to keep her sons, and the rest of her family. May her soul rest in peace with God.

A candle was lit for the decedent.
Bogdan, Stefan and Andrei, we have no words to express how saddened we are with the loss of Ivonne. She was a great friend, sweet, loving, and caring. Bogdan we pray for strength and love for you and the boys. We are so sorry you are going through this pain and loss. Your friends are here to help you however you need us. Please let us know what we can do to ease your pain. Much love, Marisel and Carl Walston.
Ivonne, thank you for giving me the opportunity to reach to the stars. You were a blessing in my life . I am deeply sorrow!! May God give strength to your family and beloved ones. Rest in Peace!!
You were a jewel all diamonds and pearls. I will miss you my friend but find joy knowing you are in the loving hands of the Father.
As Ivonne’s neighbor I watched Ivonne love her family with such devotion. How hard she fought to stay with them! I never saw her lose faith. Her perseverance was amazing and marked who she was. My favorite memory of Ivonne was at their Christmas Eve party before Andrei was born. She was radiant in a beautiful green, floor-length dress, surrounded by family and friends at their home, celebrating Christmas and preparing to welcome their son the next month. Her joy that night was absolutely contagious. I remember her similar joy when they celebrated Stefan’s adoption into their family with a big backyard party. I share the hope of the resurrection and trust that Ivonne has been welcomed to heaven. May God’s presence be your source of strength, Bogdan, Stefan and Andrei, and may the love and support of all who loved Ivonne bring you some comfort in her absence.
I visited Ivonne at her home two months ago and her faith and courage was inspirational. I have known Ivonne for many years from both of us working at the Department of Commerce. She was always very positive and greeted everyone with a smile. Ivonne was a genuinely wonderful person that will be dearly missed.
Ivonne, generous, thoughtful, smart, and complex woman. Too sad to see you go; but grateful for the beautiful friendship we shared during the past 35+ years. So many memories of our high school, early UPR years, and our adult lives enlighten my spirit, make me laugh, and bring tears of nostalgia to my soul.
Solace to Bogdan, Stefan, Andrei, and all the family… Ivonne will always be a part of you… a part of all of us whose lives she touched.
Love, Yanina
Ivonne’s legacy of love, laughter and strength continues within her children and husband. Descansa en paz Ivonne!
Ivonne,
I am always so grateful for you. My first supervisor, mentor and amazing friend. I admire you so much. So much legacy with you. You set me on the right track on my career. Your love for my family, your inside and out beauty, your courage, your willingness, so many great memories. I celebrate your life and will continue to pray for your family. You are an angel!
I am saddened that Ivonne was called to heaven so young in her life. She is now among the stars and will forever watch over her most beloved children. Rest In Peace.
Beautiful and Beaming Ivonne was. She radiated happiness and such joy. We remember when she and Bogdan joined our adoptive family group, they were both so excited about the journey they were taking to become parents to Stefan. We enjoyed sharing our Russian experiences and stories and the many family times together as a group, taking joy from watching the children grow together. What a blessing when they welcomed baby Andrei, their family was complete and the love that surrounded them was enormous. Ivonne was courageous and had so much love for her two boys and Bogdan. May that love and courage keep you, and your families, strong in the times ahead as your loss is enormous. Our prayers, love and support – Frank, Louise, Roman and Avalon Radics.
Que Dios te bendiga Ivonne. You were Phenomenal Woman in all areas of your life – intelligent, courageous, beautiful. I remember the day we met in the elevator at OPM in 1998 and you looked at me wondering who is wearing that Mardi Gras mask and I looked at you and said ” Tu eres Puertorriqueña, verdad?? A year after she married the love of her life, Bogdan, and together they became “Ivonne y Bogdan” like my children call them. Stephan and Andrei have a wonderful father who love them and will continue reminding them of her loving mother. Gracias por tu amistad. With love, Wanda B. and Eduardo Yus and Family
