Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I cannot believe the sad news. I remember him as one of my best friends in Hamilton, Ontario, where we grew up and then went on to two different Universities in Michigan. He loved soldiering and rose to one of the highest ranks in the US military. He was invincible in Vietnam where he served multiple stints with distinction, only to be felled by an ambitious project at home while climbing a ladder to cut a limb off a tree. I cannot visulize anything more tragic. Rest in peace my friend. Your old Estonian friend, from the country of our birth, Enn

  2. Chris, Kathleen and I are so sorry for your loss. Jack was such a part of our lives and he will be so missed. We love you all very much. Chris, Kelly and Kathleen

  3. Each day when I go to the bus stop, I liked watching Jack work on his yard. He would pull out tree stumps or put in new steps. He was always full of energy and enjoying working outside. I will miss seeing him doing what he loved.

  4. We called him “Ironman” because he was always doing something on the house or in the yard. Loved to see him on the tractor with the little tractor following. America has lost another member of “The Greatest Generation” and he will be missed by Sun Valley neighbors and many others as well.

  5. He never really liked me very much because I wasn’t good for business profits, but at least he stood up for his Federal beliefs.

  6. “If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I’d walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again”. We love you Jack. Chris, Tina, Madison and Mackenzie

  7. Can’t believe we lost our long time and best friend so suddenly. Our hearts are broken. We will miss him forever! A more sincere and honourable person never lived. May he rest in peace! Will miss his heartfelt greeting: “HI TOOPIE, HOW ARE YOU? We will never forget you, Jack!

  8. What a shock to see such a tragic accident take Jack from us after what he has survived in his life. While he gave the impression of a hard nosed individual I always saw his more tender side with friends and family. Your presence will be sorely missed Jack by all who knew you and the world is a better place having had you. Rest in peace. Kris

  9. Judy – We were so sorry to hear of Jack’s passing; it was most untimely. I knew Jack pretty well over 40 years ago when we served together in 5th SF. He was a key man who could always be relied upon when the chips were down. It was really saddening that his life should have ended in such a sudden and unexpected way. Our love and prayers to you, the kids and their families.

  10. Judy, Jackie, Marcia, Antonio, Byron, Viviana and Valentina, We were devastated to hear about Jack’s passing. Sending all my love, I wish I could be there for Thanksgiving. Nothing can replace the times we’ve had together but we can remember them; Thanksgiving pies and movies, Christmas, New Years, Halloween, watermelon seed spitting competitions, saving your bread to stuff up the turkey, tipping over your full wheelbarrow in the garden and watching Jack pretend he wasn’t annoyed with me, listening to Lily scream Jaaaaack every time the door or phone rang. We will miss you immeasurably, I hope you’re all holding up alright. All the love in the world, Alexandra xxx

  11. RIP uncle Jack!! Will be always missing You and the time while we´v been in DC! Your great-nephew Maario from Estonia

  12. We are sorry for your loss. Jack was such a great person, he will live on in our memories forever. Jill & John Alexander (Kruusmagi)
