Our deepest condolences to the Flynn families. Jim and Mary will always be remembered for their kind and gentle nature. Jim was my colleague in IWCS but my teacher in all things related to our joint interest in wood. Pax vobiscum
I had just lent the wood book to a friend who is a master furniture restorer and artist. He was very impressed. Uncle Jim always did things in a through way. I still appreciate all the sand samples he sent me over the years. He made the most of his retirement, and will be missed.
Dear Randy sorry to hear about you Dad’s passing, prayers are with you and your family God Bless jimmy
It was a pleasure and honor to know Jim, and Mary. We enjoyed many breakfasts together at various Vienna eateries, spanning a period of about 25 years. It is hard to recall a nicer person than Jim, and Mary was his equal at least. His family can be proud of the llfe he lived, while saddened by his loss.
To the Flynn families–I just found out about Jim’s passing today. I am shocked and saddened. overriding this sadness are the memories of Jim yelling for Brian or Chris to sweep resistors from the floor. : His willingness to help and Mary’s kindness will never be forgotten. Mark Mack low, WA4GHA
