Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We remember Jim as a good friend growing up in Pendleton and @ St. Joseph Academy. Sorry for your loss.

  2. Sorry to hear about Jim’s passing. We remember him in growing up in Pendleton, and all the fun times at the O’Rourke home. He will be missed very much this year at our St Joseph Academy Reunion in August. Our love and prayers for the whole family.

  3. To Isella and family, please accept our deepest sympathy on Jim’s passing. We have very fond memories of dinner parties during his visits to Ireland and of your family’s generous hospitality in Washington when I visited, especially in the rooftop restaurant at the Kennedy Center. He was a charming and very engaging man; great company. May he rest in peace.

  5. Life and especially Family Reunions will just not be the same without Uncle Jim. He was interested in so many things, wanting to share his knowledge and expertise with the rest of us (whether we wanted to be enlightened or not). I’m sure that the “heavenly troops” will give him a whole new audience.

  6. Dear Isella, Christina, and Francis, Together with Camille and the other members of the American International Women’s Club of Naples, Italy, we send you our most sincere condolences. Although we have known the females of the family for many years, it was not until the Club get-together last December that we met your husband / father. I remember a cheery, smiling conversation sitting on the wooden bench outside the Christ Church hall kitchen. Hurry back to Naples, so we can give you hugs in person. Tricia, for the AIWC

  7. With deepest sympanthy we are sorry to hear of Jim passing. My mother (Jean Walters Shaw) told many stories of growing up with the O’Rourke cousins. May the memories of the wonderful times you had help you through this hard time.

  8. All our condolences from my family to yours. Uncle Jim was a sweet, interesting man and he will be missed by everyone in the family. Katherine James (oldest daughter of Pat James (Ida Patricia O’Rourke) and family

  9. Isella, Francis & Christina: I’m so sorry for your loss. Uncle Jim led a full and interesting life and he shared much of what he learned and experienced with others. We are richer for that…well, for the most part! He will be missed. Love, Sharon

  10. To Isella and family – Our thoughts and prayers go out to you at this emotional time. We will miss his unique presence he brought to every family event, we have a base of strange knowledge we would have never been exposed to. We will miss his presence and personality. Joe, Karen, And Olivia O’Rourke
