Jo Anne Burkholder, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2024, in Louisa, VA.
Jo Anne was born on January 7, 1936, in Danville, VA to the late Billy and Faye Plott. She married her first sweetheart, Orange P. Judd, Jr. and together they raised four daughters: Robin, Cindy, Cheryl and Lisa. Jo Anne was predeceased by her brother Billy Plott and one of the great loves of her life, her husband Gordon Burkholder.
Jo Anne was known for her devotion to her family, her love of coffee, gardening, sewing, dancing, parties, and her overall joie de vie.
She is survived by her four daughters; Robin Judd (husband John Inkley); Cindy Khin (partner John Bordeau); Cheryl Judd (husband Doug Rinker); and Lisa Singleton (husband Lee Singleton); her beloved grandchildren Andrea, Cassandra, Evan (wife Lisa), Owen (wife Veronica), Lilly, Hershel and Chloe and her ten great-grandchildren – Elijah, Bradley, Nicholas, Sophia, Lexie, Ethan, AJ, Benjamin, Logan and Oliver and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 28, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Money & King Funeral Home,
immediately followed there by a Service. Jo Anne will be laid to rest next to Gordon at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA.

To the Burkholder family, thank you all for letting me take care of your mom for so many years. She was a BIG part of my life. It’s still feel strange going into that room, and her not being there. But I know she’s at peace now. Always know I’m here if ever you need anything.

Jo Anne was so much fun to be friends with. She really showed me how to enjoy life to the fullest. I will miss her more than I can say. She raised 4 absolutely wonderful daughters who remain great friends to Peggy and me. Love you, Jo Anne!
