Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I miss you OPA.I will always remember you and the smell of your good cologne. I will always remember you watching the Cowboys on TV.I will always remember you taking me to the bating cage. I will not forget when you took the family to the beach. Love JONATHAN FINEBERG

  2. Jon was a good friend and somewhat of a confidant with whom I shared much. He was a doer who contributed much to the success of the programs on which we worked together. May God be kind to him as he was really a gentle man.

  3. My sincerest sympathy to the Asher family. My thoughts and prayers go out especially to my long-time friends Linda and Mary on the loss of their dad. I hope you find some comfort in the memories of the good times shared . He was a unique person.

  4. Jon was a good friend. While it was a great shame that he was not better able to enjoy his “golden years”, he took much joy from his family and talked pridefully about them.

  5. My deepest sympathy to the Asher family. Jon was not only a colleague, but, more importantly, a dear friend. In the 30 plus years I have known him, I was fortunate to have a close relationship with his family. Jon loved his family and grandchildren. I am proud to say that his two daughters, Mary and Linda, both worked with me and are among my closest friends. I cherish the memory of Jon’s big smile, quick wit, and hearty laughter. Goodbye dear friend. “CD”

  6. Our sympathies go out to the Asher family. It was a pleasure knowing and working with Jon. I knew I could always count on Jon. Andy & Chris Fox

  7. Jon was a good friend, someone everyone liked working with. He brought a smile to virtually every situation and appreciated others. He will be remembered, and missed. My deepest sympathy to his family.

  8. I have many, many fond memories of Jon over the past forty years, but one in particular stands out. I will always remember what Jon’s Mother once proudly said to me, “that’s my boy!” And that says it all. He will always be our boy. Ike

  9. Mary My sincerest condolences at the passing of Jon. He was a very good friend to me for more than 20 years and was a kind and gentle man. We will miss his laughter and smile and his friendly outgoing personality. God took a really, really good one this time. Please let me know if there is ever anything I can do to help both of you through this time.

  10. Dearest Lin and Mary, I cannot think of Jon without smiling. He was a great mentor for me. He never failed to teach me something. I remember the first time I met your Dad, we had a few scotchs together and a very enjoyable evening of conversation. Jon was a good and decent man, intelligent and compassionate. Jon was also in the same Intellignce Unit I served in, we had that, and much more in common. Jon will always be loved, as I do the two of you. With my warmest and deepest Blessings, Much Love, Steve (or as Jon called me Fuzzy-Wuzzy)…

  11. Jon and I were friends for many years at NRL. I watched him progress in his career as a Technician and Engineer. He always gave 100% effort. Sorry we missed the funeral. God bless all his family. Jim & Sue Winkler

  12. I justed wanted to share with his wonderful family what an outstanding person that Jon was to everyone he came into contact with. I first met Jon in the late 70’s as a very very young engineer. He always had a smile and a kind word to say to me. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
