Of Vienna, VA on Friday, January 14, 2011 peacefully at his home. Beloved husband of Nancy; devoted father of Peggy, Katy, and Donna; step-father of BonnieJean, Barbara, and Shannon; son of Margaret; brother of Carol, nephew of Martha, and uncle of Mary. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Joe was a Professor of Chemistry at NVCC, Towson, JMU, and GW as well as Senior Analyst for the US Government. He was also an active member of his church, the church choir, and the Cursillo Movement.

Joe was a dear, warm and generous friend for more than 20 years. He was like a grandfather to our children. We will greatly miss his cheerful encouragement and wise, Christian counsel. He truly fought the good fight and we are comforted to think of him planning new enterprises with St. Peter for the Heavenly City. Our love and prayers to Nancy and all the family.
