Kathleen Flattery Smith, 81, of Fairfax, VA, died Saturday, March
12, 2022.
Mrs. Smith was born in Washington, D.C., on September 24, 1940
and was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Mary Flattery. She was married to the late William T. Smith. Following a full career with the United States Marshals Service, she retired to Southport, NC where she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is survived by her three daughters: Karen Lois Lombard and
husband, John, of Farmersville, TX; Laura Kathleen Idol and husband, Chris, of Centreville, VA; and Maureen Clare Eck and husband, Albert, of Fairfax Station, VA; nine grandchildren: Kayla, Jack, Ethan, and Travis Lombard; Alyssa and Amanda Idol; and Anthony,
Spencer, and Matthew Eck.
A memorial Mass will be held this summer at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church, Southport, NC. Inurnment will follow in the Church Columbarium.
