  13. Dear Tom, Dylan, Marcy and your loved ones (who Kathy adored with all of her heart). It is still taking me some time to process the passing of such a shining spirit as Kathy From the first day I met her I knew she was someone special who I wanted to call a good friend. I am so glad our friendship lasted over the years – even as we moved away from each other and were overrun by life’s events. It is an understatement to say that she was and will continue to be an inspiration to me. Even when faced with the biggest challenge of her life she continued to sparkle as only Kathy could and meet what life was bringing her with courage and resolve. She is truly one of Heaven’s angels. I will forever hold her spirit in my heart.
