  3. I have had the privilege of knowing, living with, going to school with and being a friend of Pete for over 40 years. His passing brings tears to my eyes every time I think of him. Pete was one of the most decent human beings I have known. Honest, to a fault – caring, giving and usually with laugh on his mind. He cared and spent so much of his time with his kids. He always put them first. Every time I ever spoke with Pete, his kids were his top priority. That was Pete, always doing the right thing for those he loved. I will miss Pete. May the world he is in now bring him peace. John McLaren

  4. Pete was one of the nicest people I’ve ever worked with! He was my office “neighbor” at L&N. He always had a smile on his face and could help make the day brighter with his smile and jokes. He loved his kids and lived for his kids. He often talked about his daughter and sons and the time spent with them. He was an awesome father, great friend and wonderful co-worker. Heaven has an awesome new neighbor; however this world is a little less bright with him not in it. My deepest condolences go out to his close friends and family and his children! May you find comfort in knowing Pete made a wonderful difference in this world – the world is better because he was in it! Much love to you all!

  5. My prayers are with my dear old friends, Laurie and Judi, and their families. I have wonderful memories of times spent at the Jahelka home during high school — a very tight, fun loving family, all with a glorious sense of humor. Rest in Peace, Pete. — Tom Dubocq

  6. For several years I worked with Pete at Provident Insurance Companies back in the 90’s. What a joy it was, he was everyone friend always looking for positive in every situation. It was during the time when he first became a father. What a proud father he was each one brought him more joy. We stayed in touch here and there since Provident over the years. I’m truly saddened by his passing. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss

  9. One memory I will always have of Pete was at family events when he was in high school. My siblings and I were quite a few years younger than him and we all thought he was so cool and wanted to hang out with him. Of course he didn’t feel the same way but being the sweet guy that he was he didn’t tell us that. Instead he came up with a game called kidnap. He tied us up and we had to escape. We thought it was so fun and of course it gave him some freedom if only for a bit. I will miss his easy and kind nature. Love to the family. Marianne Mullaney
