  1. Kerly – You always took pride in helping to keep the front of your home clean – at the Phoenix. Many times, as I was sipping a cup of morning coffee, on my balcony, I would watch you performing your morning routine and it somehow always put a smile on my face. You were a good man and a good neighbor at the Phoenix. Jay and I missed you the last two summers and I’m glad we were able to see you and Natalie this past Fall. May you rest in peace. To Natalie, Valerie, and the rest of the family, Jay and I send our deepest sympathy. Kathryn

  2. Natalie: We are so sorry to hear of your loss. On behalf of the Golden Techites, we extend condolences from your many high school friends.

  3. Our husbands were West Point classmates ’54,and we both were station in Japan. Kerly, Yale and another classmate, Kirk Cockrell were going to play poker one afternoon at the Barrands, and finally agreed to teach Natalie and me how to play. They wrote down all the hands so we would know them. Shortly after Kerly is dealt a hand and announces “Hot Damn, a Little Philly”!! That was NOT on the list they had given us. Natalie then told they we were not going to play with them because we didn’t trust them to be honest with us…and certainly we didn’t have the experience they did at playing poker. We bought their car, a convertible when they were transferred. We had many a good trip in that car. And as I recall gasoline was about 15 cents per gallon at the military gas station in 1957. We both will always remember Kerly fondly. Wonderful friends. Would love to hear from you Natalie, a fun and great classmate’s wife and friend. Phil and Yale Weatherby

  4. I’d like to express deep sympathy for loss of your loved one. I hope and pray this message bring comfort and soothe the pain that you are experiencing at this time. What has help me to cope and deal with lost a love one is found God’s Word the Bible in Psalms 113:5-8 “Who is like Jehovah our God, The one who dwells on high? 6 He stoops down to look on heaven and earth, 7 Raising the lowly from the dust. He lifts up the poor from the ash heap 8 In order to make him sit with nobles, With nobles of his people.” You can find similar comforting verses in the website jw.org.
