LT Larry Allen Gebbie, USN (Ret.), age 76, died on December 23, 2014 at his residence in Vienna, Virginia. He served in the U. S. Navy as a LDO. His service included three assignments aboard the USS Enterprise, including Virginia Beach, Virginia and Sanford, Florida. In 1969 Lt. Gebbie was aboard the Enterprise when a fire caused significant damage, requiring the ship to go to Pearl Harbor for repairs for six months. His service to the Navy also included teaching in Memphis, Tennessee.
