Passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at his home in Lignum, Va. Beloved husband of Sandra Loar; devoted father of Charity Johnson (Mark), Carter Loar (Dori), Carrie Schalkofski (Patrick) and Jeb Best (Jill); grandfather of Alexis, Matthew, Jade, Brianna, Andrew, Ryan, Taylor, Carter Jr., Addison, Merritt and Parker; brother of Jerry Loar (Melissa) and son of the late William and Betty Loar. The family will receive friends at the Money & King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, Va., on Friday, January 5th from 6-8 PM, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 6th at 10:00 AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice of Warrenton or the American Cancer Society.

  3. Very sorry for your loss as Larry one of the most caring men I have met. I knew him through Carter and I know he loved him as well as the rest of his family. Rest In Peace and know you all will be together another day.

  4. Larry was my brother in law but mostly he was my friend this very wonderful man will be missed. Their are so many wonderful memories. All through his sickness he endured all the pain and sickness and did not complain much he had strength of 10 men and loved his family unconditionally. In his life time he made an impact on so many lives. I am so grateful to have had the pleasure to have had this very wonderful man in my life not only as my brother in law but as a good friend RIP Larry
